  • We restore cases in wood finishes starting at $200.

All Projects Include
  • Significant disassembly to allow for deep cleaning and proper paint preparation.
  • Motor inspected, cleaned, serviced.
  • Parts cleaned safely in appropriate solvents.
  • Hook disassembly for thorough cleaning.
  • Appropriate parts machine polished.
  • Proper aluminum/metal preparation.
  • Minor corrosion repair (severe corrosion may require additional fee).
  • Proper paint preparation and finish.
  • Catalyst-hardened gloss topcoat.
  • Final finish polished.
  • Reassemble / time hook / test for perfect stitches.
  • Video demonstration prior to final payment and shipping.

Also Applicable
  • Customer pays all shipping both ways.
  • Local drop-off and pickup available in Western Maryland near the DC/Baltimore metro.
  • Parts replacement/repair will require additional fees.
  • Machine must sew upon arrival or repairs may require additional fees.
  • Pedals and drip pans subject to policies.
  • Decal allowance up to $30 - higher priced decals prorated.
  • Painted pedals are an available option, subject to our policies.
  • Underside drip panel is either polished, painted black, or painted color depending on your preferred option per our policies.
  • Insurance recommended inbound, required outbound.

Deposits & Turn-Around
  • We do not maintain a "wait list."
  • Turn-around time will be estimated; typically 90 days from receipt of machine.
  • 50% deposit places your project in queue.
  • We let you know when to ship your machine, or you may ship it immediately.
  • Deposits are subject to policies and both parties are protected.

Payment Methods
  • You receive everything in writing via invoice.
  • We invoice via PayPal through our LLC.
  • This is NOT a "gift transfer."
  • Checks acceptable but must clear prior to queuing job and shipping final project.

  • We produced the only feature-length documentary on vintage sewing machines. Still Stitching has delighted thousands of viewers and urged the expansion of many collections. Many viewers tell us they watch it repeatedly. Ladies tell us that the film helped draw their husbands into their passion for vintage machines.

Custom Paint and Restoration

  • We are fortunate to assist many clients with procurement, high-end restoration, and custom painting of vintage sewing machines. While Singer 221 Featherweights are the most frequently painted model, we paint many other models such as the Singer 15, 66, 99, 201, and 301.
